What makes Ankas
Prenatal yoga class unique?
“It’s all in you.”
All essential knowledge is already laid out in you like a blueprint and is waiting to be activated. With a lot of love, humor and experience, Anka would like to lead you back to your personal responsibility. Your words inspire, guide and entertain. With yogic techniques, your intuition is sharpened, your inner wisdom is activated and your stamina is increased. Self-confident, reflective, resilient and a little more relaxed can also deal with the side effects of pregnancy better or even resolve them.
“When we come together and meditate, magic happens.”
The yoga style that Anka teaches is called Khalsaway and was developed specifically for mothers by her teacher and author Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa from the Kundalini yoga tradition. (By the way, Gurmukh’s book “Bountiful, Beautiful, Blissfull” is a wonderful read). The Khalsa way yoga style aims to support mothers as holistically as possible: dynamic asanas (positions), pranayamas (breathing exercises), mudras (hand positions) and mantras (healing syllables) are accompanied by Anka's inspiration and transformative music. The aspect of community, that women come together and support each other and exchange ideas, is included. No two pregnancies are the same - so you can adapt the execution to your pace and condition.

Answers to frequently asked questions
Can I do that?
Yes, it is suitable for all levels even without previous yoga experience.
When can I start practicing?
You can start pregnancy yoga whenever you feel like it. Perhaps the nausea and risk of abortion in the first trimester will be somewhat slowed down. However, meditation, breathing exercises and chanting always work.
When to be careful?
Doctors, therapists and yoga teachers can advise and support you - but in the end you feel your body best. Nobody is closer to your child. Yoga and meditation help you strengthen this connection. Nevertheless, please always inform me about any important health history so that I can provide you with the best possible support.
Not everything just easy breezy?
Some days you can hardly get up - get over yourself! The high frequency that we generate in the classes is a force field and takes you to the next level. Here tears can fall, anger can be transformed into strength or the burden can simply be laughed away. And if it gets too much, we have a comfortable couch to chill out on.
Can I practice by myself at home?
Yes! All exercises are designed to be continued independently. You can also show them to your family. Just a few minutes are enough. Always warm up well beforehand, start slowly, respect your limits. Regular walks in the fresh air are also recommended.
What language is taught in?
The class is taught in Swiss German. On demand also with English explanations.

«Liebe Anka
